My Bio
I should probably start by saying I don't use photoshop on my photos. I'm only just learning the basics of Photoshop and I am not sure I want to explore it much. I feel that once you alter a photograph using photoshop, it becomes art and is no longer a photograph. There is nothing wrong with that of course, and it is simply my opinion. For me, a photograph is a moment in time, a vision I saw and wanted to record. It is a moment in my life that was punctuated by my camera's lens.
I almost never shoot people. I've photographed 3 weddings, but as a whole I prefer landscapes, flowers, cemeteries and abandoned buildings both urban and rural. My eye has changed over the years and I am drawn more away from the classic "beauty" and more to the decay of an abandoned farm and it's collapsing barn or overgrown silo. A boat being repaired, rusting rigging or things like that. This account will show the whole gamut from my love of flowers and landscapes and my current focus on the darker side of everyday life.
I don't think of myself as an artist, just a woman who shoots lots of photos and sometimes gets lucky.
